An Introduction to Nechville Banjos

In the 1980s in a garage somewhere near Nashville, TN, a banjo maker named Tom Nechville was hard at work perfecting his innovative banjo designs. Out of this intense focus on building sonically superior banjos, Tom won several patents including one for Helical mounted or Heli-mount banjos. He’s even credited with starting the newest trend in banjos known as Flex-Tones. American ingenuity at its best.

Best selection of Nechville banjos

Nechville’s comfortable playability is hard to beat. With the best selling Atlas you will see comfort features in the portable neck and wooden armrest. The Renaissance head gives this banjo an organic, mellow tone with a big sound that is one you have to hear and play for yourself to believe.

The news banjo to the line-up is the more moderately priced Nechville Comet. You can get the same quality electric banjo that celebrity performers are playing but at an affordable price. The Comet is lightweight and easy to plug right in to achieve the volume banjo performers need and want.

Most of the Nechville banjos are surprisingly lightweight but the Nechville Zeus is most surprising because of its many special features and premium sound and appearance. You’ll be inspired but not distracted by the understated beauty of the Saturn and Stars inlay and the woody, clear sound of this banjo.

Nechville banjos stand out

Tom Nechville is always innovating to meet the changing needs of modern musicians. Replacing more than seventy parts of a traditional banjo, the Nechville patented Heli-Mount system tightens together much like a jar on a lid; greatly reducing the assembly time and improving the banjo's sound. Tom Nechville has spent years in development and in consultation with the world's top players researching and finding ways to meet the needs of professionals. The result is a state-of-the-art instrument with modern styling and traditional in sound. Nechville banjos have been around since the mid 1980’s and have quickly become a worldwide leader in banjo innovation. Nechville is well known for patented banjo concepts such as the Nechville Heli-mount and “Flux Capacitor” neck connection.

The extremely popular Nechville Meteor Electric Banjo is the instrument of choice for influential musicians such as, Lady A, Luke Bryan, Zac Brown, The Hollies, Keith Urban, and many more. With humble beginnings in a farm house, Nechville now operates out of a modern fatory/ warehouse in Bloomington, MN.
