Banjo-dot-com had the best price on the Deering Goodtime package, and then there was a coupon offer on their web site. I emailed the owner late on a Saturday night with a question about what was in stock, and got an immediate reply. (I would have waited.) He told me it would ship on Tuesday, not sure what carrier or arrival date. On Sunday I realized that we would be out of town Friday, and asked if he could hold off shipping so it wouldn’t sit on the porch all weekend while we were at a festival. Instead I got a shipping notice from UPS that the banjo would arrive Thursday — and so it did.

The banjo package was in perfect condition, arrived super fast, and my wife is happy with her new instrument. What’s not to like? Thanks, Barry!

I ordered and received my new banjo via Banjodotcom at the recommendation of my instructor due to the pricing, set-up and customer service. A few days after I received my awesome new banjo, I noticed a crack had appeared on the fretboard binding at the first fret. A few days later, I received an email from Banjodotcom asking how I liked my new banjo. I responded by questioning the crack and if it was normal, as this was my first “new” banjo. Within hours, Barry responded and asked if I would like to exchange it. I was a bit surprised, as I was only asking a question. After a few emails on the exchange process, Barry emailed me yesterday and said my replacement had been set-up and shipped. My instructor was correct, the set-up was awesome and the customer service is second to none! Barry and his team at Banjodotcom has a customer for life with me and all my banjo needs. I hope one day to visit and shake Barry’s hand, the entire experience was painless, professional, with honor and respect.
