This banjo features a Deering -06- Tone Ring and premium violin-grade 3-ply maple rim. What makes this banjo unique is that is it specifically designed to shine when played in lower tunings such as E or D. Brown loves a warm sounding banjo and believes her tone is different from the bright, poppy bluegrass sound that turns some people off.
